The surgical procedure involves an incision being made by the plastic surgeon into the deltoid muscle area. He will then create a pocket under the muscle layer that the implants can be placed in. Dissolvable stitches are used and ultimately scar tissue forms (which is necessary)  keeping the deltoids implants in place.

Following the procedure and up to about a month (this will vary from patient to patient) you might encounter some difficulty raising your arms. This is normal as the shoulder implants settle and stretch over the implant. Most people can return to work within 5 days after Deltoids Implant surgery and resume daily workouts and exercise after 4-6 weeks.
