FREE BROW LIFT AND BLEPHAROPLASTY PLASTIC SURGERY CONSULTATIONS

Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery, as performed by the Manhattan Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Douglas M. Senderoff, can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence by eliminating droopy or sagging eyelids. As people age the eyelid stretches, muscles weaken, and fat accumulates around the eyes, causing “bags”, or excess skin to become prominent. During your consultation with NYC Plastic Surgeon, he will assess which of the four eyelids (top and bottom for both eyes) require the procedure.

The best candidates for eyelid surgery are men and women who are physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in their expectations. Generally, patients for this procedure are 35 years or older. However, if sagging eyelids run in your family, it may be advisable to have eyelid surgery at a younger age.

Traditional eyelid surgery is commonly performed by the Manhattan Plastic Surgeon to improve drooping upper eyelids and remove puffy bags of the lower lids. These characteristics often make people look tired, unenthusiastic, and appear older than their age.

The traditional eyelid surgery procedure is the second most common aesthetic surgery performed today on men and women, according to the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. While it does a good job at addressing the problems described above, there are other cosmetic concerns, such as crow’s feet around the eyes which are not necessarily corrected with traditional eyelid surgery. Laser skin resurfacing in combination with BOTOX® around the eyes can be done in combination with eyelid surgery.

There are variations of the eyelid surgery operation including transconjunctival eyelid surgery, laser resurfacing eyelid surgery, and lower eyelid resuspension surgery. The NYC Plastic Surgeon will discuss all these options with you.

Brow Lift
Frown lines above the nose and in the middle of the forehead will produce an unwanted older appearance. As a result of stress and age, we tend to make expressions that promote creases, resulting in a serious, unhappy, aged appearance. A brow lift eliminates these lines and will improve your appearance. A brow lift is one of the only procedures that allow the Manhattan Plastic Surgeon to access the hard-to-reach muscles that cause forehead furrows.

A brow lift is a procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. The browlift procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad, or tired.

A browlift combats the signs of aging by diminishing frown lines and raising naturally low or “heavy” brows. Brow lift surgery works by elevating muscles and tissues that cause the brow to droop, creating a smoother-looking forehead.

An incision behind the hairline allows the browlift surgeon to minimize visible scarring. The surgeon then elevates the skin and muscle of the forehead, using an endoscope (small camera) to visualize important structures. Aside from scarring, there are a few other side effects that could result from brow lift surgery. Browlift complications are extremely rare.

The brow lift surgery procedure is performed at the Manhattan, New York Plastic Surgeon’s fully accredited surgical facility in Manhattan.
